Update: As you can see, this article was written months ago. It is not about the finale and I’m not going to put any spoilers here. Not until I’m quite sure everyone has had a chance to watch it.
*** End Of Update ***
Have you noticed anything weird about the last three episodes of The Blacklist? If you’ve been watching, you might have seen that Agent Elizabeth Keen has not been in those episodes. What’s going on? Is she off the show even though her name is still a big part of the show since they mention her in every scene? And yes, they still call her Agent.
Megan Boone makes the show and no one can change my mind on that. I’m a fan of James Spader too. I’ve been watching him since he played Keith in Endless Love. Some of my favorites are Less Than Zero, Secretary, and Boston Legal. But even though I’m a fan of James Spader, taking Megan off the show is criminal.
We had no idea she was going to leave the FBI and go rogue. But we made our peace with it. After all, it’s not the first time she has found herself on the other side of the law. But we didn’t agree for her to leave the show. No one talked to us about it and we definitely wouldn’t have stood for it.
Of course, they could just be giving us the feel of what it’s like to be the FBI team looking for her. They have no idea where she is and they keep asking themselves if she’s really gone. It’s as if the reality of it hasn’t set in with the team. Of course, Reddington understands even though he has no idea where she is either. He had to play that game for a good portion of his life until he became a snitch.
So if that’s what they’re doing, they’re doing a good job. She is definitely being missed. But she can’t be gone. There is no way anyone in their right mind would have agreed to write her off the show. Not the producers or the directors. Not the other actors.
So, can we see her back on the show sometime soon? After all, as I said before, she makes the show!
