A Phenomenal Treasure Has Been Uncovered At Ground Zero

As firefighters went through the rubble of the 9/11 World Trade Center collapse, they found plenty of things that broke their hearts. They also found things that would give them hope. This is one of them.

Infused into a chunk of steel, there were pages of the Holy Bible. But what makes the story phenomenal is what the opening page said. It’s from the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew. It’s a long sermon that covers many things Jesus meant to tell the world.

But, this chunk of steal was found in the rubble of a terrorist attack. People died that day as the World Trade Center came crashing to the earth. The scripture that was found on the opening page addresses that . . .

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.

Do not retaliate! Do not take an eye for an eye! That’s a remarkable page to have fused to steal at such a place as Ground Zero. Makes a pretty loud statement!
